My second try at Delicae Gourmet's mixes, New England Clam Chowder sounded like a good pick to ride out Hurricane Ida. I followed the directions to the letter, and added the liquids to the vegetable and spice packets. I placed my drained clams, cans and all, in a ziploc in the fridge. That afternoon, I added the soup warmed half 'n half and the clams. My husband did not wait the full hour. As soon as the mixture started to bubble he was ready to dive in. What an easy, scrumptious soup! When the soup had boiled down a little after a few bowls had been served, I added more half n half and it still stayed very thick and flavorful. This is one product I'm going to use again.
